0:26 You can download Ananta for free from Jan 15, 2027, its worldwide launch day, from five official places: Ananta's own PC client on anantagame.com, Steam, the PlayStation Store, the App Store and Google Play. Until then there is nothing to install. As of Oct 10, 2026 the store pages take only pre-registrations and wishlists, and NetEase has announced neither a download size nor a pre-load date. Arekkz Gaming's rundown of the release date announcement sums up what will be on offer: PlayStation 5, PC and mobile, and still free to play. Any file offered as an Ananta download before launch, such as an APK on a third-party site, does not come from NetEase. What the game is about is on Ananta.

Where to download Ananta on launch day

PC, official client. NetEase's launch announcement names "Ananta's official PC client" alongside Steam, and Japanese press list the PC version as "PC (Steam/official site)". The client will come from anantagame.com; as of Oct 10, 2026 the site's buttons are for pre-registration, not a download. Players in mainland China have their own official site, ananta.163.com.

PC, Steam. The Steam page lists Ananta as free to play, for Windows only, with a planned release on Jan 15, 2027; until then it can only be wishlisted.

PlayStation 5. The PlayStation Store page shows the game as "Announced", with a wishlist button and no price or pre-order button, because there is nothing to buy.

iPhone, iPad and Android. The App Store and Google Play listings take pre-registrations now; Google Play shows the developer as "Exptional Global", the name NetEase also uses there for Where Winds Meet. Players in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau use their own listings, which the official site links for Traditional Chinese visitors.

How big is the Ananta download?

6:22 NetEase has not announced a download size for any platform as of Oct 10, 2026. Steam's system requirements give only the operating system, Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), with the processor and graphics card marked "TBD" and no storage figure. The spec lists that circulate do carry storage figures, 40 GB for the minimum and 100 GB for the recommended setup, but they are not official: Gfinity and GuruGamer reported them on Aug 26, 2026, saying they came from Chinese pages, and Arekkz Gaming, reading them out, notes that they come from a screenshot posted on Reddit and that it is too early to read much into them. They appear neither on Steam nor on the official site. NetEase has published no device or storage requirements for phones either. When NetEase confirms sizes, they will be on PC System Requirements.

Can I pre-load Ananta?

Not yet. No pre-load date has been announced on Steam, the PlayStation Store, the App Store, Google Play or the official client as of Oct 10, 2026. Until one is, the only things to do before launch are wishlisting and pre-registering, and pre-registrations count toward milestone rewards (Pre-registration and Rewards).

Unofficial downloads

Ananta has had no global beta: Steparu, back from gamescom 2026, wonders whether there will be any beta or closed test before launch at all, and PC Gamer wrote in Aug 2026 that "There has never been an open beta for Ananta". The only tests so far were offline closed tests in China and playable demos at Tokyo Game Show 2025 and gamescom 2026 (Beta Tests and Demos). A site offering an Ananta APK, a "beta client" or an early PC download before Jan 15, 2027 is not offering NetEase's game. The same goes for anantagame.org, which is not NetEase's site: the official addresses are anantagame.com (with its pre-registration page at anantagame.com/preview) and, in China, ananta.163.com. On Android, the genuine app is com.netease.anantana on Google Play.
