Ananta has no ESRB or PEGI board rating yet as of Nov 1, 2026 (the PlayStation Store reads "ESRB Rating Pending"), but its store listings carry automatic ratings: Teen on Google Play in the US, PEGI 12 in the UK, USK 12 in Germany, M in Australia, 12+ on the App Store, and on Steam USK 16, plus 18 in Brazil and Indonesia. The phone stores also warn of random paid items.
Ananta has no ESRB or PEGI rating from a ratings board yet: as of Nov 1, 2026 its PlayStation Store page still reads "ESRB Rating Pending". What it does have are the automatic ratings each store gives from the publisher's own answers to a questionnaire, and they mostly put it at 12 or 13 and up: Teen on Google Play in the United States, PEGI 12 in the United Kingdom, 12+ on Apple's App Store. Steam's generated ratings are stricter, USK 16 in Germany and 18 in Brazil and Indonesia, and Google Play's Australian rating is M. The game is a free-to-play open-world action RPG with street fights, guns, cars and supernatural creatures, and the phone stores warn of paid random items. A board's rating may differ when one is published. What the game is about is on Ananta.

What is Ananta rated?
On Google Play in the US it is Teen, for "Mild Violence, Suggestive Themes, Language", with the notes "Users Interact" and "In-Game Purchases (Includes Random Items)". Apple rates it 12+. These are self-reported ratings: Google Play's come from the International Age Rating Coalition questionnaire the publisher fills in, given in each country's own system, and Steam marks its ratings for Germany, Brazil and Indonesia as generated rather than reviewed by a board. When the ESRB or PEGI rates the PlayStation 5 version, the result may be higher or lower. Grand Theft Auto 6, for comparison, is rated M by the ESRB and PEGI 18 (Ananta vs GTA 6).
Why do the ratings differ by country?
Each country's system weighs things differently. The same questionnaire gives PEGI 12 in the UK for horror and mild swearing, USK 12 in Germany with "Increased Incentives to Buy" listed among the reasons, and M in Australia, where chance-based purchases are named. Steam's generated ratings are separate and stricter: USK 16 in Germany for "Fantasy-Gewalt" (fantasy violence), 18 in Brazil for fantasy violence and 18 in Indonesia for online interaction and violence (read Nov 1, 2026).
What does the App Store warn about?
Apple's listing rates Ananta 12+ with these advisories: "Frequent/Intense Cartoon or Fantasy Violence", "Infrequent/Mild Horror/Fear Themes", "Infrequent/Mild Mature/Suggestive Themes", "Infrequent/Mild Simulated Gambling", "Infrequent/Mild Contests" and "Loot Boxes" (Apple's store data, read Nov 1, 2026).
Does Ananta have loot boxes?
The stores say some paid items are random, and NetEase has not said which. The App Store lists "Loot Boxes", Google Play "In-Game Purchases (Includes Random Items)" and Steam "Chance based in-game purchases". Characters are not among them: NetEase's producers say every playable character joins through the story and play, with no character gacha, and that the main things sold are outfits, skins and vehicle customization (Monetization).
Is Ananta OK for kids?
That is for each parent, but the stores' own labels put it at 12 to 13 and up. The violence is mostly hand-to-hand street fighting, guns, car chases and fights with supernatural creatures called Chaos (Combat, Chaos); the game has online interaction, as the PlayStation Store's "Online play required" and the stores' "Users Interact" notes say; and it sells items, some of them random. Apple's Screen Time and Google Play's parental controls can restrict purchases on phones.

Players lead a broke task force through Nova City and Chongxiao, fighting, swinging, driving and going viral, and every playable character is earned in play, with no character gacha. - Ananta vs GTA 6Ananta and Grand Theft Auto 6 are both open-world games set in modern cities with cars, crime and character switching, but Ananta is free to play on PC, PS5, iOS and Android from Jan 15, 2027, with superpowered heroes in two Asian-inspired cities, while GTA 6 costs $79.99, comes out on Nov 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S only, and follows two criminals across Rockstar's version of Florida.

MonetizationAnanta is free to play, and NetEase says it has no character gacha: every playable character joins through play, for free. The money is meant to come from cosmetics such as character skins and limited-time event outfits, while cars and home renovation are mostly bought with in-game currency; Steam, the App Store ("Loot Boxes") and Google Play ("Includes Random Items") all warn of random paid items, which NetEase has not explained as of Nov 1, 2026.

CombatCombat in Ananta is real-time martial-arts brawling modeled on Jackie Chan and Hong Kong action films. You punch, kick, dodge and counter when an enemy's attack shows a blue cue, grab whatever is nearby (golf clubs, trash bins, drain covers) as a weapon, take guns from enemies, and add each character's own powers, such as the Captain's tentacles and telekinesis. -
ChaosChaos are the supernatural beings of Ananta, "born from human imagination" in producer Ash's words, some good and some evil, living alongside people with jobs and families. The Captain's agency, the Anti-Chaos Directorate (ACD), deals with the troublesome ones, from a "Maniac Chaos" that jams traffic to a gang of rock-loving Chaos, and NetEase's trailers show toilets that sprout legs and run down the road.
- Crossplay and Cross-SaveNetEase has not said whether Ananta will have crossplay or cross-save between PC, PS5, iOS and Android as of Nov 1, 2026. Steam lists "Cross-Platform Multiplayer" among its features, but the game has no multiplayer mode announced for its Jan 15, 2027 launch, and no account system for carrying progress between devices has been described.
